Never got a PM with the address. Did get $55 for the rusted sheet metal from the 72 I took to the scrap yard this morning. Kept the SWB frame and bed for now. Never know when you may need a titled frame. Or I can always turn it into a trailer and get a few bucks out of it.
Well until I get a real ranger I guess my clone project will have to do

Nice truck Haus may not be a "real" Ranger but I bet it is just as much fun to own and drive. And if, Heaven forbid, it gets damaged to an unrestoreable point you can move the parts to another slick and still have a "Ranger"

$14.00 a hundred around here. Time to consider cutting the "parts inventory"!

It was at the benton fair grounds. There was one other 66 slick there. I did not win anything but had a good time. The best of show guy had an original 64 or 65 falcon sprint. He bought it a couple years ago as it was. I was not impressed. I've touched nearly every bolt on my truck and put hundreds of hours into it (I'm slow). There should be a restoration or modification class. The guys that simply buy their cars without any effort should be in a different class. Same as the folks that show up with a 5 year old or newer car to a car show
Obsa, yep, I'm glad my labor is finally starting to pay off. Been driving it around short distances and having a blast. Putting another cleveland in my other 66. Going to add power steering while I have the engine pulled and out of the way and probably replace the bushings on the front end. C6 tranny will be behind the cleveland. Pulled it apart yesterday for a rebuild.

I didnt know that Kid and Casey65 made BYR the offical "Slick60s English and Grammer Moderator". I truely think you will be very busy correcting everything on this website. But thats ok with me cause I think Im like about 99% of the people on here. Oh yea, that 1% is U! I think we should take a vote. Everyone that wants BYR to be the offical Grammer Moderator, please type now..........................30mins later..............................1hr later......................looks like yur out! NO VOTES FER YA!!!!!!
And you call yerself "BackYardResto"! From the looks at your shop, yer anything but. Nice lift! I bet you got one of those roll-around toolboxes?Welders? Plasma cutter? I bet youv'e got a sheet metal break too! (I hope that was the right form of 2). How about a paint booth BYR? Those are nice! I bet workin on these old trucks just comes easy fer ya!!!!
And have you been to my family farm? Man you described it to a tee! Even the pond with the truck in it! Im going down there tomorrow and make sure my truck is still there and bring it home. On my borrowed trailer! After I fish it out!
One of these days our paths might cross and you'll no who I am. Ill be the one driving the red and white 64 with the trash in the paint cause I painted it outside. Scratches on the sides cause my kids might have ran their big wheels into it a time or two. Oh yea, and the 5th Ave. IFS cause it was cheap and easy. And Ill be wearing a big-o-smile cause Im proud to drive it. And did I mention, I did it all myself! That, BYR, goes along way with creditability. Have fun with that one. And by the way while I have you here, what does "ROTLMAO" mean? If its bad, you can go ahead and tell me. Im a big boy!

So, why are we trashing one-another? Don't we all come here to talk about trucks and truck related topics? I can get the neighbors to complain about my truck and motorcycle habits, can't you? This reminds me of how I got welcomed to the Kawasaki forum I joined in 2005. Welcome Lee's 64.
I wish people could either get along or just or just ignore the ones that they can't get along with.

Sad isn't it, that people can be so bothered over something so petty.
I firmly believe that as soon as someone elses behavior controls your emotions, you are the one with the problem and you lose.

Just got back from Lee's. There is actually a truck with a data plate that indicates its the real deal.
PS: there is an awesome 64 also that puts the ranger to shame for sure.
