The place to talk Slicks. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

A/C Question... (wrong time of year!)

Post by REDLTD »

New to your forum, here. I was a lurker on the old one. I like this one MUCH better. My son, Frank, wants to install A/C in his '63 F-100. He wants this for Christmas this year. I've looked around at aftermarket units, there doesn't seem to be one specifically for slicks, and they are expensive. What works, and what's cheap?
Thanks, Bert

I found this the other night, not making a recommendation, but was wondering myself if anybody had used this setup?

Deja vu

Looks like this is the same brand, and the same price as the last post shows. Sounds like a nice system to me.... I am just saving my pennies to buy one as soon as I can.

Check out the write-up they have in their eBay listing. Sounds like a quality setup.

Wish we all could get X-mas gifts like this :rocker:

Good luck.

I just installed one of there units in my 66 its a very nice unit, i like it. i think the blower motor puts out 750 cfm of air. the heat works good also. All i had to buy was a belt and freon. The only problem i had was that i used a 3 row rad. from a 77 truck ( new ) and the stock fan would not pull enough air to cool the condenser for some reason so i installed an electric fan and alu. shroud that comes as a kit or seperateand that had to be modified because it was for a cross flow rad. and mine was vertical flow. If you use the stock rad. i dont think you would have the problem i had. Couple of pic. in my album.
