Can I use a "Painless" Bronco wiring harness in a

Post by class115 »

I'm thinking of using the Painless wiring harness ( Part Number 10108)for a 1966-77 Bronco in my 1966 F-100.
It seems that I have no other choice, since Painless doesnt make a ford truck kit for the 66, and my wiring woes are growing.
Has anyone tried this before? I'm sure the brake light wires will be too short, but the rest of the harness should be OK
Any sugestions, tips, stories?

Why not one of the one size fits all kits? They usually have lots of extra wire, so you just have to shorten instead of splice in extra wire.

I would think that the wiring harness for a bronco would work. When I rewired mine I did it myself from scratch without a kit. I used a bronco diagram and it was the same as my 66 from what I could tell. Like the preveous post said you may have to add wire due to the lenght of the wire,Aren't the broncos shorter? There was a member here who had someone making them from scratch that was a real good set of wires maybe someone can post the info.
