Help me with pricing my 66 F100

Hey guys, I have decided to sell my 66 F100 pictured in my avatar. I have no idea of a realistic value, so I threw it on Craiglist tonight for $4000. You guys thinks my price is reasonable? It needs some rust repair on the cab bottom and bed floor and tailgate. I'm not trying to be pushy on here about selling, just need to know a reasonable value. Thanks for your help. My ad I just posted on this site:

More pics and description will be helpful in coming to a value? Engine/trans combo? Interior shape? Any upgrades to brakes, etc?

If I sell something ... I price it about 33% more than I actually would take
That way the buyer can feel good about dickering me down

All stock, including the wimpy drum brakes. Interior is pretty decent. I did a new headliner, made door panel inserts, and put in a nice original vinyl seat from a 67 Bumpside. The original black dash pad is nice.

around here i think the kansas city craigslist posters would have posted it for sale more like $8,000. $4,000 buys you a complete restoration candidate with flat tires.

As someone with no dog in this fight I say 4000 is fair.

I looked at your CL ad. Pictures of outside are fine, but you have no pictures of interior. What does the floor look like? What about the bed? What about the eng. compartment? What about the wiring? Please show me more. As a buyer I would ask for more pictures. I would also ask for any documentation you might have. Yeah the outside looks nice, but I would tear you apart on condition of interior and eng. Just keeping it real. For selling, keep it real!! Don't try to hide anything. Rust is your enemy, however try to disclose as much as possible. (A perfectly round basketball looks nice until you try to dribble it) Be as transparent as possible. You want the most for it, but you also want to have a good sale with honest wording.

Been in the family since 1974, was my Dad's driver for 20 some years.
If that was my truck, I couldn't put a price on it, keep it in the barn, that shouldn't cost you much. Save it for the next generation.

I appreciate the comment, and have added a few more pics to the C/L ad.

Circumstances are not pointing in that direction.
