Slick 60's

What are you guys using for the rear curve towards the rear of truck on the steps on unibody's ? I know you can get the step floor new but not seeing the curved part anywhere

I've seen them listed at a few places. They call them step risers I think.

I put LMC risers in my '57 when I replaced the steps in it.

1. The top flange did not match the curvature of the floor pan opening
2. The top flange was anywhere from 3/4 to 1-1/2" wide
3. The bottom flange was up to 5/8" from being even all the way across

I had to use my sheetmetal shrinker to make the curves sharper, trim the top edge to be uniform (used 3/4" masking tape as my guide) and had to trim the bottom edge so it mated with the step plate itself.

Mine were Schott brand panels, was not impressed with a single one I got from LMC. I would shop elsewhere and stay away from the Schott brand if I could. Close but still needing a lot of work to fit correctly.

#16 is not what I'm looking for.. the part is to the rear of the cab ..the curve up to the door jam.. my kick plates are good.. they make the front part #12 they call it the front pillar panel... The other side may not be available..

I haven't seen these reproduced anywhere. When I had my floor replaced I ordered the steps, lower pillars, and risers but the fellow doing the repair had to fabricate a patch for the area you're talking about.

I found a set from a donor truck.Worked pretty well.I was worried about everything lining back up but was no problem.
