As some of you may know, I posted a thread on "A slick I want but not sure" Well as a early 21st Burfday present to myself, I went and got it. 600 smackers and brought it home. This truck was a project that a guy in Parsons KS was doing but in the middle of the build, was killed in a car accident in 1991... so the truck sat and was never finished. A couple nights ago I started to clean out the bed and lay all the pieces to the front clip out that way I could get an idea on how they all went together (pretty easy, easier than I thought). While going through all of the shit, I found a mint pair of old school Ford Motorsports aluminum valve covers, a bunch of Matchbox cars from the 80s and a "Corky Pig" piggy bank with 1957 scribbed in the bottom. I pulled the motor and trans, the motor is not locked up and looks pretty clean inside (ill keep a post going on the motor after I get the truck together) So last night in the dark I started mocking up the front clip and tying everything together with bailing wire... showing my redneck . Ill end up using the bed off this one for my 66 shortbed build, and ill swap the doors from my 66 over to this one, cause these doors are nice and all sheetmetal versus my bondo packed ones on my 66. And ill have another shortbed to go back on it. Then ill sell it once I get it back together

You sure it's a 62? Sure looks like a 64, unless the grill and bed have been changed out.

65 was the first for the twins. and it doesn't really matter what year it is. these trucks have been parted and pieced together so much over the years that as long as you got it titled and registered without any problems it don't matter. just enjoy it.

the thing is...at first i thought...these guys on here ar funny with their "slickoholic jokes" ...its not just a Joke! its For REAL! I have to FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS or i would never get one project set in a positive direction for wanting every slick i see, that has a potential to be bought/sold.!
and i agree it doesnt matter what year...its awesome because its a slick, a ford and its already yours

I myself have 2 now! One to play with and one to drive everyday! Both of mine are 63's, but one is still straight axle(my DD) and the other one is sub-framed(my uni). great fun they are!!
