cab panels

Post by RED »

I think my next project will be the steps, floor panels, and cab mounts/bushings. I know this has been asked before, but who should I buy these parts from? Quality is my main concern. I want to only have to do this once. I think I'm gonna ask santa for a new miller 140 autoset welder (want to only buy one welder in my lifetime) and spend some quality time with the garage. Thanks for your help.

Red on mig welders let me recomend you look at the 180-185 amp claass machines . Graanted you will need 220 volts to run it but you will most likely never find a job in your home shop it wont handle . A 185 amp Hobart will run you about the same money as a 140 Amp Miller .

The option is a cab, or whole truck, from the desert.

My old cab needed all that, and a bit more. I found it more economical to find a better cab- Mine wasn't rust free, but close. There were some repairs to do, but nothing major, and in the end it cost a LOT less than buying the patch panels, and was a fraction of the work!
