65 or 66

I see tons of 66 Slicks for sale, but few 65s.

Why is that?

This is just a W.A.G., but I have gotten the idea from some long forgotten source that the 66's were a much more popular model than the 65's (and maybe more sold?), although I personally prefer the 65 grill. Haven't looked at the production figures, but as I said that's a W.A.G. Or, maybe many of the 65's have 66 grills? :-)

i would like to find a 65 f100 4x4
first year of the 300 I6 & last year of leaf sprinf front axle
i keep my eye out.... havent found one for me yet

because the 61-64 straight axle trucks were built so well no one needed to buy a truck in 65. lol

IIRC the 66 had the highest prodution numbers, by a long shot.
