I have had this in storage for 8 years now, bought it for $1000.

1961 F100 4x4
Shortbed
Flareside
Custom Cab
Manual Transmission
6 Banger

The truck is awesome and I can't wait to fix it up. I plan on modifying it slightly, I want a truck that I want to drive all the time. Im not a big fan of the flareside, I may trade the bed for a styleside bed.

I have been looking through a lot of posts and listings, not too many 61 4x4's out there (roughly 2400 produced). Anyone have production numbers of the Short bed Custom cab?

I think the bumpers may have been transplanted. They dont line up with the body lines and I have not seen any trucks of this year with these bumpers. Does anyone know if the 4x4's came with different bumpers?

Hi from Washington State. That front bumper was added on later its not original. Good luck on your restoration.

Looks like a good start.
FYI - if you want to run larger tires the flareside bed will work out much better for you. You can get NEW replacement parts for the flareside, not for the styleside. Not much clearance for big tires & offset wheels in the styleside bed wheel arches = more lift needed. Just a little food for thought.
Welcome to Slick 60s.

And if you really wanted to go wide with tires, you can get fiberglass Flareside fenders that are 3" wider than stock.
