Pate Swap meet....

Post by Uncle Skip »

... April 28-May 1.
PFM, TruckRat.
Who's in charge of getting the spaces this year?
I'm bringing a bunch of parts for sale and either need to share a space with someone or get one of my own.
Got a lot of neat parts, good parts, fair parts, and some parts. If anyone wants an advance list, let me know, or tell me what you're looking for.
I'm still doing inventory about what I want to sell.
I even have a very good flair side bed less fenders that I "might" part with.
Plan on me, BroncoTom, Max, Ruth, Moondog, and maybe even a couple more from the Houston contingent.
I'm sorry, but I'm so excited....

Think everyone who had space(s) at last year's show had to pay to renew for this year before we left Pate. I don't think they were able to get more spaces in our section for the 2011 event.

Just tip over the box, make sure prices are on it and start walking. I think that's the general rule for selling parts at Pate.

Guys, we sent in for the spaces right after Pate was done last year and with most all the guys renewing for this year we have 22 spaces paid for and all together. There could've been more but there were folks who had claimed spaces at either end of where we got ours so we got 2 more than we had last year. Go ahead and bring your stuff with you and we'll find room. One guy who didn't come last year who had paid for 2 spaces may be iffy this year. Just depends on how things go. He has to take care of his wife and can't always get away for long. If it turns out he can't make it I'll let you know. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. TR

I have to say I mooched some space from PFM last year and he was gracious enough to let me. I will probably mooch again this year but only with a chair to rest in, not a "s" load of parts this time.
Also last year a member could not make it and offered his spaces and that may happen again so keep posted.

we are for sure full on spaces this year. We have our max at 22 at least where we are at right now. Really don't want to move it's almost in the middle. :)

If you bring stuff to sale then you manage it (prices and contact number on the parts). We have serveral folks that don't mind so there should be room. Now if your parts alone take up a whole bunch of room (like 3/4 or more of a spot) you need to work a deal with someone before you come. :)

We have at least two easy ups each year for sitting room so bring chairs. I will have the BBQ grill there again this year and of course stuff to keep hydraded with. Come on by a sit a spell is the motto for pate. Think of it as a mini SS.

If you need to work a deal with someone send me a PM and I can give you a list of names (of those who have spaces).

Yes it has (on another post). Closest thing to Pate' you'll find at Pate are the chicken livers at Babe's Fried Chicken Emporium over in Roanoke :-).

Here in Georgia It is not unusual to see possum pate on the road, or maybe it is closer to a possum patty
As my dad used to say, somewhere there was a horse that died a painful death from terminal constipation due to missing a key part of its anatomy.

Armadillo isn't that kinda like possum on the half shell! Or when still living like a full battle possum?

I think as far as road kill goes!, Armadillo aren't that tasty, going by all the carcases untouched on the side of the road!. Turkey Buzzards must be over it!

I got the ok from Mama yesterday, just gotta figure out the details now. If Skip is unloading a good Flare Side bed I'm gonna work extra at getting there.
