You'll need a can of PB Blaster, some heavy duty elbow grease (or an impact), and maybe a set of new U bolts too.
That's about it.
They basically bolt in my friend.
If you want to use the impact and don't have one handy drive her up here (my compressor won't fit in the Jeep) and we'll make a day job out of it - beer is on me.

Chris mine bolted in with no issues. One thing to check when you install the rear is driveshaft length. My driveshaft yoke is 3/4" farther into the trans. Im borderline on needing to shorten the driveshaft.

It's just one of those things you have to install and then see what's required. I was told I was going to have to correct all sorts of things with my 3" monos. Other than the springs, I didn't have to change a thing.

i de-arched my springs all the way around...3 1/4" in the front and 4" in the rear. just bolted right in. i even was able to use the same u-bolts...of course you'll need new ones for monos.

My buddy Ger and I went to Denver one time to pick up his BBW uni with monos (since sold). I would recommend some shorter shocks that work with the lowering. You could hardly put a loaf of bread in the box anymore, as far as carrying capacity went, but it rode pretty nice.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Michelle's red/white '65.

My '65 wouldn't take much to get there, but what a bang up job on that red/white slick.

Chris,
you can get a similar stance as my 64 with only the front monos. Keep in mind my rear tires are taller than the fronts. Rear is the F 250 spring pack with all but the top 3 leaves removed - shouldn't be tough to round up a pair of them. As far as I can tell so far the ride will be pretty nice and it will still have a little load capacity. You could also leave a couple of the overloads in the pack too for a bit more load capacity.
I don't personally think I would go with monos on the rear.

We could also lengthen the shackles like Todd did on Tim's Land Speed Racer Uni - Maybe flip the springs under that axle too?

i have been thinking about flipping the axles. a friend says he might be able to hook me up with a guy that can get me all the hardware i need.
the ride is pretty soft now, so i wasn't sure if removing springs from the packs would be a good idea. wouldn't that soften the ride even more?
i could get away with the rears the way they are and do a hanger flip like i did on the 68. worked well and was almost free-i like free.
so maybe a rear hanger flip and a front axle flip would be the way to go.
so many ideas and not enough beers. lol

sounds like either way we might have a shot at an upper plains get together sometime before spring starts.

Wish I'd read that before I did my rear monos!

Do you have any pics of the springs themselves or the process?
