Front bumper options

I like the looks of the valance panel above the grill for the 61 through 64. I also like the looks of the 65 grill better than all of the others. I wondered if anyone knows of a bumper that bolts on with the signal/marker lights in it. The Chevy's had it in the early 70's and I really like it. Just wondering.

No bolt ons I know of but I have thought of grafting in 1966-1967 Fairlane turn signals from an old bumper.

Place your turn signals behind one of the holes in the grill.

I had thought of hiding them in the grill, but to me that defeats the clean look that I like of the 65 grill. I wonder what the law is about removing the bumper, putting a roll pan on, and using some custom made bumperettes. Did our trucks come with the vertical push bars on the bumper? I know some bumpsides and dentsides did.

One option would be to use the headlights with the turn signals built in. Can't remember which member did that.

I think Kid did. Should look something like this. It's the route I'm taking too.

I have wanted to see what a 65 grill would look like in a 61-64 Slick. Now I know. It looks great! I prefer the 65 grill over the 66 any day. Thanks for sharing.

That's '64 trim on that red truck - all polished up. That looks pretty sharp! Never seen that without the red stripe inside the middle of it.

My 66 extended cab Lariat has mid 80s ranger park lights in holes I
put in bumper before rechroming. Since I don't have a camera this
should keep some guessing.

Since I built it from scratch, I can call it anything, right?

You can get those replaceable bulb halogen lights off Ebay pretty cheap. It's very easy to drill a hole to accept the bulb socket - a rubber socket one would be real easy.
I got a tri bar set for 40 some bucks.

Never tried it, but surprised to hear that drilling a hole in a bumper would be considered "very easy". Glad to hear it. I've always found drilling a hole in anything with a hole saw blade was a royal PITA. Maybe I wasn't holding my mouth correctly.

I have the headlights like shown on the red truck. Was going to install a 65 grill but whoever put the custom grill in my truck welded the headlights sections of the 64 grill in place and molded it all before painting so I have the real fine 65 grille siting in the bed of my truck...

went ahead and installed the headlights and the polished bezels though and pulled out the custom grille...

Where are the front blinker light fixtures hiding?
