want opinions

I been thinking about doing a 50/50 drawing and donating the half to a charity.We have a lot of good ones and was just thinking it will be a small way for us as a group to help. Let me know what you think.
Is that like a raffle? and you donate half the profit to charity, if so I`m in . Any thoughts on the prize yet?
