Floor Mat

Hi Guys.i have a question.I need to get a new floor mat for my 66 F350.What year should I use?The 66 mat doesnt have the step cut out.The 64 mat does.i was told that my 66 F350 with step is like the 64 Model cabs.So what do you think?Thanks for any help Tony

you use the 61-64 model for the high hump (4 speed)
you will have to cut out the holes in the hump yourself, and the area where the steering column goes thru is different so it will not match the hole in the mat. i hid the little missing crescent moon shape that you end up with there by putting my top mat around the column.

Tony when you say step are you talking about the door sill area or the trans. hump?

Lonnie, he is talking about the step.
the 65-66 f100/250 and f100 4x4 have no stepwell in the door.
66 f250 4x4,f350 and up used the early cab until the end of production,therefore you must use the 61-64 mat but the mats are repopped for the f100/250 2wd cab in either low or high hump styles only and not for the 4x4 or the big trucks, thats why the steering hole does not match.
only way to get the actual correct mat for the 4x4 or big truck is find an NOS one.good luck on that.

Iceman, mine is a 1966 4x2 cab on a 1977 4x4 chassis with 4 spd. trans. grandmaw. When i ordered the carpet i ordered it for 66 4x2 with 4 spd. The high trans. hump was molded in the carpet. I cut the holes for the shifter and high/low lever and dimmer switch. Steering column is high enough no hole is needed for it. So im guessing the same carpet would fit the 66f250, 4x4, f350 and up if you cut a slot for the stearing column and trimed out the foot wells, dimmer switch, trans shifter and high/low lever.

Think about it and let me know if you think it will work. We may have stumbled on a how to by mistake...

Lonnie, nice idea but it won't work.
the shape of the floor and the hump are different, so the mold would not match.
your front cab mount bolts are hiding behind the access panels in the wheelwell, ours are in the drivers floor.

these pics are not correct other than the floor and hump because its an f350 cab on a 72 4x4 frame, i modified the dash and floor hole areas for the later column.

Glad you solved the problem tanman. Take some pics. of the front cab mounts inside the cab that Iceman refurred to if you would please. If you dont mind saying what part of N.C. do you live?
