Just a thought..
Hey how's everybody been doing? Been busy alot lately with college trying to get projects outta the way so I can get started on my slick. Been thinking of a lot of different ideas for it.. Anyways, here's question I have. Back in the fall, the number 1 connecting rod cap in my ih 304 came off, pretty much leaving the scout useless.. I dropped the oil pan at the time but couldn't completely look into it.. Here's the question, could I pull the motor, drop the number 1 piston and rod, intake and exhaust lifters and pushrods, put it back together, and not hurt anything by just moving it around the yard? (Besides rough idle and bearings, but I'm getting a new shortblock in a few months.) Thanks for the inputs.
