New seats.

Just put a set of bucket seats out of a 99 Ford Escort in. Had to make up some templates of a bracket, then had a sheetmetal shop break the metal for me. Rides a lot better without the old worn out seat with the iron bars in it.

Next project will be to do something about that cheesy speaker box the previous owner put in.

My 65 bench seat is a little bouncy..........ok, it is bouncy, heh....

It was not the bounce that bothered me, it was the bottoming out against the seat iron.

The headrests are laying in the garage, bad case of ring around the collar, either that or Fonzie owned the Escort. Real nasty.

I am not sure what the seatbelts are, PO put them in. They do have a nice 3x3 1/4 inch plate behind the sheet metal rolled to fit tight

Is that a B&M star shifter? I have been looking for a floor shifter, and i was wondering if you have to lean over to reach it?

I want a floor shift but want to be able to reach it, and not have to lean for it.

I think it is a mega shifter. I don't have to lean to reach it, but I am 6'3" 260, with arms like an Orangutan.

Again the PO put it in, I think it is off of a 70 to 72 F100. It was stripped then rubbed with a scothbrite pad and clearcoated.

I have a B&M starshifter in my Uni and I hate it. Yes you have to bend over to get at it (I am 6'-0")

I rode with Carl at Slickstock in his awesome 460 '57. He had the truck version of a B&M shifter, seemed much better. Spring for the taller truck version if you want one. They look kinda Cheesy to me, prolly would not have used a Starshifter if I had built my truck.

Cool truck! I have some old buckets in my truck but I'm thinking about replacing them. I might find an 70's factory bench seat and reupholster it with the kit from LMC simply because it looks cool and my truck has that 70's hot rod look to it allready. I'm also thinking about finding some modern bucket seats like yours, for safety (dont want to put my head through the back window in a wreck)Do the head rests fit on the seats or do they rub the window when put in the proper position? I'm asking because the old seats in my truck rub the glass when the seatbIacks are up. Of course, I dont care if you actually go check, just wondering if you noticed durring the install.

Hey those seats look good Tim.
I put some Excort GT seats in my '69 Bumpside.

They weren't bad for 25 bucks a piece.

What did you do for brackets? They look good, real good for 25 bucks a pop.
