Not only does it look like one of those drag cars, but it is leaking something serious under the rear end!!

I'll probably box some stock control arms for now with the biggest swaybar I can find along with poly bushings. I've got a standard bore 289 that needs freshened up a bit. I'll try to find a 6 speed to go behind it, or a 5 speed if the 6 doesn't work out. I'm trying to figure out if there's an 8.8 rear that will work.

I've had the car since I was 17, but haven't driven it in 15. If only I had more money to throw at it...

moeny is always the key. I wish the same thing too. I dont know what 8.8 will fit right up, but I would bet you can find plenty of them out of Rangers and fox bodys, or go with a f series and have it shortened down

If I remember correctly all Mustang rears through 70 (at least) are 52 1/4" flange to flange. The disc brake 9" from a Lincoln Vesailles used to be a popular swap. The 8.8 from a 90s Lincoln should be pretty close. That is a real solid looking little fastback.

That's a real peach Red. I'll eventually paint my truck Springtime Yellow and white. Mine doesn't even make a good wheel barrow right now. All that muddy water leaks right out the trunk floor.

good to see someone trading a lesser quality vehicle for something great. Looks nice. Good color choice.

I like that new stang Ezernut. my brother in law has an 05 he loves that car. I finally took pics today of my 67, since 1992 i never taken a decent pic of it. I guess because I never had a really nice camera until now. and now im going mad on acount of my camera, its like catnip for my hobby
the last time I worked on it, I was doing bodywork, hail damage repairs, shaving rain gutters, door handles, the glass is coming out to be replaced with lexan ( maybe) I have a 429 going with a mild build. 304/304 615 lift sig erson camshaft, edelbrock alum heads, air gap intake and dom carb shooting for 11.50s when its finished up here @ 6800 elevation. would like to get into the low 10s eventually. anyways here is what I havent touched in years until this month Image
Image
gotta replace pass rear 1/4 panel because it was mashed in sometime back when previous owners in washington had it Image scored a decent price on a new grille for the front, new front fenders, hood, valance, headlamp buckets, etc etc etc

interior is dusty from storage, that will clean up easy enough, I did all the interior back when I first bought it in 1992, it needs new seat appolstery, prob end up with racing buckets.
