OK, block sanding is more fun than:
A stick in the eye
Hitting your thumb with a hammer
Accidentally drinking sour milk
The flu
Watching an episode of Glee
Peeling duct tape off you chest
Getting kicked in the groin
An IRS audit
Listening to an Obama speech
Most surgeries
Tomorrow: another coat of high-build primer followed by MORE block sanding!!

Laid down some color and clear tonight. Two coats of color and three coats of clear. When it's all done it will be color-sanded and buffed to a glass-like appearance.

You wont be mistaken in a crowd. I like it nice and bright. What are your plans for offseting colors for the interior and peripherals such as wheels pipes overlays or pin stripping?
The wheels are seen on page three of this thread. I'm not currently planning on any striping. Going very clean with selective and subtle modifications. Shaved emblems, but custom cab door handles. Smoothed tailgate but a modern Ford truck blue oval raised emblem in the middle. The drawing point with be the smooth simplicity of the bright yellow.
The interior will have black carpet and uphostery.

We will be able to see that truck from satellite images. But I have to admit that looks nice, can not wait to see it assembled.
Make sure to keep some touch up around, I have seen how many girls park their rides (wifes car is full of scratches)
Wish it was my paint booth. It belongs to a friend of mine who is retired from the paint and body business. I build his motors and he does my body work (or guides me in a lot of it). I have learned a TON of stuff about body work.

He has told me that I'm starting to get the "feel" for body work. Have to learn NOT to trust your eyes, but train, then trust the feel of the body work. The eye will fool you until the shine goes on it, then the yer "lyin' eyes" get the full truth. My tendency is to over-sand body filler.
I must say, thanks to Leon, I am confident that we could have laid the highest gloss black on this thing and there would have only been a spot or two where the body work would be apparent.
