What was your first vehicle on the road?
My first was an orange 1974 F100 Explorer which I was in the process of fixing N.Y. salt rash while in college before being rear-ended by a school girl going 55 mph while I'm at a dead stop waiting for a light.
Thought I had been hit by lightening (during a T-storm) but it was just my head snapping back through the rear window and seeing the sky for a split second before kissing the steering wheel.
Sad to see all my young work get hauled away along with a half pint of blood.
(sorry, must be Halloween time).

There were many first's in my 1964 Chevy pickup with a "high torque" 230 engine with a "three on the tree". Learned to drive in it ( parallel parking on a hill was fun, remember when you had to do that to get your lic), got my first ticket, joined the clutch of the month club, rolled it in to a ditch, first date, my first well .....we wont talk about that.
As much as I did and learned with that truck it is not even close to being as good as my slick.

1955 studeillac
'55 studebaker business coupe with a cadillac engine, 3 speed with overdrive. louvered hood, decromed, had a spring loaded trunk lid that came open and slammed shut on every bump. Only real problem was when the rear wheel passed me by one night axle and all.
$75.00 from a friend who got drafted. Sold it back to him 2 years later for $75.00. Hated to see it go. Replaced with a 1960 "T" bird.

My first one was my 66 F100 in 1980. I bought it from a friend, after he tore the engine apart & couldn't figure out how to get back together.
This was taken about 1983.

My 2nd car was a 75 Pinto that I bought in 1983 for a winter beater, so I didn't get my truck any more rusty...no pic, so just vision a puke green beater.
I actually found that the Pinto goes pretty well in the snow!
My 3rd car was a 70 Charger, I got it in 1986. My wife & I used it for daily transportation until about 1990.
I still have both the truck & Charger, although neither one of them have been on the road in 15 years...family life got in the way.

*EDIT* I found one of the mighty Pimple!
