here is a picture of the drivers half of the hood with its louvers. poor chip has his dad in the hospital so hes been busy dealing with that. im in no rush to get the hood back but hes a good guy and is trying to stay on top of his work load. so here is what he got done on saturday. 84 louvers!

Sweet! I have a photo request... any chance of you showing him punching those out before he finishes? I'd love to see what he's using and how he's doing that. If he'll let you...
I bought one of the smaller, China-made bench-top roller/beading tools on sale years ago but have only messed around with it a few times. You can louver with it but not on something like a hood or tailgate.

not sure what they are costing me per louver. i think he charges the general public $3 a louver. im getting the hamb/slick60s/buddy price. im at $350 total. im also getting the 3.5" louvers instead of 2" ones. so hes giving me a slight break there also.

so garbz test fit the bed onto the rolling frame tonight. it sits pretty low just like this and there isnt a cab or motor in the frame yet. wow! shes going to be in the weeds.

so here is a picture garbz just sent me of the y block as it sits now. we cleaned and painted her last week. so its all dry and now we are going to start putting on the chrome goodies, stainless pieces and the accesories

steering linkage

so we needed to address the steering linkage some what. so we decided on using a custom piece. cutting up and sleaving the original parts just didnt seem safe. so i had bill at karas kustoms (he lurks here) cut and thread some round stock so i can use some grade 8 bolts and heim joints. its a bit over kill but its safe

so what are you guys using as your linkage from the column to the box the standard rag joint setup or u joints?
