Sweet! I have a photo request... any chance of you showing him punching those out before he finishes? I'd love to see what he's using and how he's doing that. If he'll let you...

I bought one of the smaller, China-made bench-top roller/beading tools on sale years ago but have only messed around with it a few times. You can louver with it but not on something like a hood or tailgate.

louver price

Post by azratrod »

not sure what they are costing me per louver. i think he charges the general public $3 a louver. im getting the hamb/slick60s/buddy price. im at $350 total. im also getting the 3.5" louvers instead of 2" ones. so hes giving me a slight break there also.

steering linkage

Post by azratrod »

so we needed to address the steering linkage some what. so we decided on using a custom piece. cutting up and sleaving the original parts just didnt seem safe. so i had bill at karas kustoms (he lurks here) cut and thread some round stock so i can use some grade 8 bolts and heim joints. its a bit over kill but its safe

sit down while you read this and look at the pictures. that way your safe and dont get hurt when you pass out. the newly painted motor, tranny, and bell housing are in. most of the totally stainless bolt kit for the engine is on. the body and bed are mocked up! and the lakes pipes are layed out to see how they are going to look. are you sitting down and ready? here we go...
