thanks for the heads up garbz it did have to be lowered some about a 1/4 in for good clearance and does anyone have any picks of the passenger side all put together id like to see some for reference

personally I like the tall tops, but then I'm 6'3". Hey, if you can fit in it and it is what you want....go for it. It'll look long and sleek lowered and chopped....Anthony

started the top tonight and heres what we got done so far.
its been chopped 4 in and the front dropped to match the door line so the front saw really dropped a total of 4 1/2.

tomorrow going to get some more clamps and some steel to get the line matched up and ready for welding.

the body was back mated to the frame and looks killer cant wait to get the metal in the roof to see it really come to prospective.

I am SOOOOO glad that you are doing it the RIGHT way instead of the easy way. Stretching the roof is the only way to do it. I can't stand when they lean the posts back to match up the pillars. It throws the lines out of whack and makes the roof look aerodynamic when nothing else on the truck is!
Great to see you continuing on this project....so many of these MAJOR projects end up in the scrap pile when halfway done.

after it seem like an eternity for the roof the get squared its finally tacked it some spots and ready for the strips and the filler panels to get tacked in place but first must get some more steel for it but here is the picks thus far.

after about 10 hrs its there walking back and fourth from side to side the square.

some more work done to the uni last night got the passenger door instep finished up and just need to weld in the the rear piece and its done and add the strips to the top and its finished

We can never have too many clamps.I agree with what
Tim said-Ive seen too many that had the posts leaned in to match & then they wondered how
they were going to get a windshield to fit those crazy cuts & angles. Then they would call
some unsuspecting glass man(me, for instance) to fix their problem-Then I would have to tell
them how to do their job.
It's best to have a W/shield cut down first to your specs or pattern,then before final welding,make sure
that the glass& rubber fit the cavity.See the comments by Garbz on the door opening.Same thing
applies the the W/shield opening. Good work, Twisted.

ok just playing around right now going to the metal shop to get more after lunch but heres the actual stance of the truck when it finished right now just metal rods welded in the place of the coil overs.
