This is what keeps me motivated. This forum and fellow slickaholics. I've received a huge welcome from people i don't even know, but soon will. I have seen some beautiful trucks inside this community, absolutly stunning, and all this does is compel me to finish what i started.

The only thing that kills them is rust, and if the body holds up decently, they are still a viable platform to work from.
However, those with rose-colored glasses who buy basket cases to restore are just churning up rust and future disappointment. There's still enough good ones out there (like this one, it appears) to make restoring a no floor, no cab mount, no bed floor version foolish.
Buy wisely, and then don't be afraid to just drive the old gal until full funds are available to do the job you want. I've been postponing mine's facelift for 10 years!

Game plan will call for a regular class III receiver that can handle a roughly 400 Ib tongue weight and upwards to maybe 6k overall. Antique Airstreams, Argosy's, Avions, Silver Streaks. These are all pull behind travel trailers that were very popular back in the sixties. They be a lot of good old campers out there for me to sink my teeth into.

Limestone has a few rust issues. All along the drip rails, floorboard and in the corners of the bed where water had collected and sat for quite a spell, but nothing that a little TLC caint fix. What really killed me was right after i bought her, both of my other Fords took a nose dive. This put a tremendous strain on our ability to get around. The only ones dependable enough was Limestone and one of my bikes. That old girl hauled my carcass to work everyday through three tropical storms and rural flooding down here in Florida. She did all of that with extremely wore out kingpins and a stuck valve. Imagine that.
