Nothing pleases me more than seeing you make some headway. heaven knows you have been around the club, and involved on the forums right from the start.
Lance come heck or high water I plan to drive this beast to the Street Rod Nats in August . I dont figure it will be pretty yet but it will be moving under its own power kinda like yours its first time out of the garage .
LOL Kevin I didnt notice till I got the front clip[ off the cab is leaning to the left . The um motor is leaning to the left . I wondered why I couldnt get the tranny to shift at all . Good thing I am cutting out the whole floor and selling the frame .
I am currently planning to do the floor and firewall swap yes . I will be keeping the uni dash though unlike the truck in the latest issue of Custom Classic trucks .
Seats out Gas tank drained and loose shifter removed and steering column/steering box ready to come out
Oooooooooooooooh such a pretty piece of glass must protect it .
Neighbor should be over later and we will be lifting the body off the chassis and sliding the chassis out . Motor mounts and all are loose just have to unbolt the tranny and they will be comming out once the chassis is pulled free .
Ok thats better having her 3 feet off the ground was skeery not she is about 20 inches high
2 motor mount bolts and 2 tranny bolts pull the motor and tranny and the old chassis goes to Kenny's tomorrow . Time to break out the saqzall and attack a Crown Vic .
LOL Lance wait for the next update soon as the old chassis is delivered to Kenny's tomorrow the Crownvic takes its place in the driveway and I got a 10 pack of sawzall blades today and a metric ton of 3" cutoff wheels .
You're killing me, Rick Everyone's projects suddenly seem to be coming together; mine are still stagnating.
I agree with Lance, though; it's great to hear and see signs of progress. I'll get the dial calipers cleaned and calibrated for Slickstock.

LOL Paul I have roughly 5 weeks to have this thing running driving and registered for the Street Rod nats here in Louisville aaaaaaaand I have 2 local buddies my electrician across the street and a new member Kenny who I met a few weeks ago and the 3 of us are planning to have our trucks at the Nats and I already have Kenny talked into Slickstock next year .
I should have the front and rear track Drum to Drum and Disk to Disk measurements for you by Sunday .
No hurry for the measurements, Rick. The calipers were for the "Crown Slicks" road re-surfacing contests at SS
Between the heat and an ever-complaining body; I've got to concentrate on putting 'em together before I embark on more "tearing 'em apart"!
Be careful and keep progressing!

Kevin my neighbor with the 52 F1 comes over here to the shop every afternoon to motivate me come on get off your buttt you got a truck to build whats next what tools we need get to it . I kid him the only reason he is pushing me so hard is so he can build his own truck next time instead of paying to have it built .
When we did the body work on my truck, my neighbor was the same way. He would see me drive by in my work truck, then give me about 15 minutes and then call to see if I was going to the garage and then he would be right over. He is a retired body man so he taught me a lot.
