I just spoke to a guy with Cen-Pen Speedshop. That's the parent company for the website Grits mentioned.

I asked for a quote for the following parts (I have a 66, but it has the Saginaw gearbox instead of the Bendix unit so I had to order a different column than the one listed for a 65-66.):

Paintable steel, tilt column, floor shift, power steering: 1170820010
or
Powder coated black, tilt column, floor shift, power steering: 1170820051

Rag joint: 3000053434
Polished floor mounted collar: 23115000040
Black leather boot for collar: 2405810010

For the setup with a paintable steel column, plus the floor collar and leather boot, they quoted $569 with shipping. (bought it)

For the setup with a powdercoated black column, plus the floor collar and leather boot, they quoted $679 with shipping.

I know it's alot, but out of all the options available to me right now, this just seems to be the best way to go. I'm leary about buying old yard parts for certain things... steering... brakes.. pumps... I'd just as soon spend more, knowing what I've bought isn't as questionable.

Sounds good. Will the Ford steering wheel fit? Or was that a concern for you?

Not a concern for me (My column had a crappy Autozone special mounted on it), but they do have a "Ford Style" column available. I have custom bucket seats. Because they sit a bit higher than the original bench, I decided to go with an aftermarket wheel.
