what is this for???

i removed the seat today and trying to figure out what this track or bracket is on the floor, any ideas???

Looks like a home made seat mount bracket for a different kind of seat. Not a Ford part for sure.

Looks like something somebody installed to keep things from sliding out from under the seat.
