Parts Goodies [Random Pics]

Post by Effie »

These are just some random parts goodies I've acquired recently and wanted to share.

My Christmas present to myself and first major NOS purchase I made for Little Black. I got both fender emblems with inserts in their original Ford boxes. Pimp. 8)

I also picked up this set of dealer brochures.

Then I went shopping with Dennis Carpenter.

Complete anti-rattler kit. After reading those comments a few days ago about this being a bear and DC instructions being crap, I'm kinda scared.

I had to spread my monies out to the little guys, too and bought some lenses from Carolina-Classics.

We're supposed to work on my engine Sunday and hopefully get it back together. My brother has had the race car in the garage and I couldn't really get to my engine stuff and he couldn't really help me, so that's why the delay in gettin it back together. We're pushing time now, I don't know how long it'll take the body shop to paint it. Hopefully not long. I gotta get it back and put it back together before June 24th.

Oh yeah, I love having the trackin' numbers and getting anxious knowing the parts will show up any day. I can't wait to see them on the truck either. Definitely will have pics. 8)

It's the Great Smokey Mtn F100 Show. I have the countdown 'ticker' in my sig line counting down. 8)

Once upon a time I had my blue '65 entered in the Run To The Rock show, but only in the 'daily driver' class.

So this will be the first time I've ever had a truck worth entering in a show. I've been going to the F100 Supernats for the last 10 or 12 years, just wishing I had a truck and could be part of that crowd. Even though now, the Supernats is NOTHING like it was when I first started going. That's why I'm excited about this smaller show [which used to be the Run To The Rock show.]

I know shows can have a bad 'vibe' with some people. People showin' off with all the billet and chrome and trying to be the biggest, baddest, most expensive truck out there. But for me, it's more about just sitting around with folks talking trucks. And I never felt like I fit in saying, "well, I USED to have a truck." I have a hard time fitting in and feeling accepted. I'm very shy and quiet, so this truck is like an extension of me, and something I can be proud of and it helps me open up and talk to people. I'm just a people watcher and I look forward to just kickin' back in my camp chair with some sweet tea and visitin' with folks and seein' folks enjoy what I've done with my Little Black.

Oh trust me, there will be PLENTY of pics. I never tire of taking pics of the ol boy, even with his primer spots and missing trim and shape that it's in now.
