Industrial Chassis

Post by kenk96 »

I will be ordering an Industrial Chassis Front this year and would like to hear what the best donor would be for the rest of the axle. I have seen some posts with different opinions but since it will also house a 2003-04 Cobra SC 4.6 I want to do it right. Any help would be appreciated. After I get the donor engine and trans. The running 292 will be available cheap.

rear axle

Do you mean the rear axle? If you have a 9 inch rear nothing better for the money. If you are taking rear suspension what are you trying to do, strictly street cruiser, drag strip, corner carver?

Bluebolt,

I am actually getting the IC Dakota Front Cross member. I am keeping the original Ford 9" in the rear, will widen the wheel wells in the rear and be more of a restor rod. I want it to look stock and run with the best of the current hot rods.

Blue Bolt,

I will also need help for the rear. I am thinking, with the Horsepower at around 450 when I am done, if it is smart to go with 4 link.

The newer the dakota the better. well only up to 96 if you get the gen II kit.

I got mine off a 95. 92 up had the better parts, but I am replacing them all anyway.
