well I took advantage of the 28 degree weather here in north dakota
and took the family out sleddin.. of course we sled a little differant from most people. the is a slick involved, some rope, 5.00 gas, couple of sleds and happy kids. here are some pics from my sunday afternoon
My kids saw this one and, with no snow down here in Arkansas, came up with a skateboard senero involving my slick. My dad used to pull us on a 53 cheby truck hood. (when it snowed)woohoo.gif All memories are better with a slick involved!! way to go DAD!

i could no longer keep "r.i.p.ing" all of our fallen brothers and sisters, so i say here, slick loads of love and much respect to all you beautiful people.
When i was a kid we were able to sled the road by our house for about 2 miles.. Lots of fun...and used to pull the sleds back behind an old Sno Prince with a 2 stroke Rotax.
We used to get off 1 bus stop early when I lived in Alaska. Then we'd sneek behind the bus, hang on to the bumper, and the bus pulled us up to our stop. We looked like snowmen but man was that free ride fun.

enjoy that 28* while you can.
the cold blast of air that hung around here for the last 12 days is headed your way.

when i was a kid here in az we did something simular. one kid would drive a quad on the bank of the water canal. a second kid would ride on the quad backwards as a type of look out if kid 3 fell. kid 3 either got pulled in a tube, knee board or a wakeboard behind the quad in the canal water. if we were lucky we would get a few passes each befor the cops would show up.

Where in North Dakota do you live? We spent 6 years in Minot with the Air Force.
Seems like we just got by with more when I was younger. My uncle used to pull my cousin and me behind his bump from our farm to town. About 14 miles right down the highway! The sparks would fly from the rails on our sleds! And our smiles went from ear to ear!
I remember back in the 70s an old buddy and I did some bumper skiing. It didn't end nearly as well as your day, but then we were using his 69 Roadrunner and there was some alcohol involved.
