Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive body, but to skid in sideways - body worn out and screaming: Woo Hoo, what a ride!"
both of the 64's i owned were cc's and both had the round style inst. cluster so what's the deal? did ford just put what they wanted in whatever model? btw, i never understood the reasoning for the single turn signal indicator light in the sweeping style cluster???

In the '64 the custom cab got the round speedo, a bright metal bezel with silver paint on the ribs, and the standard cap got an off-white painted bezel with round speedo.
The sweep is only on 65/66 custom cabs
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
Amp and Oil Pressure were the "normal" gauges in the 2 outside circles but I have also seen Tachs, Clocks, Vacumn, and Air Pressure gauges when you get into the larger trucks.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......
I often wonder why some CC's in 65/66 got the extra two gauges with their CC instrument cluster & some didn't?
Shiny, huh?
This one's in a Ranger, no less...well, that is if it was actually a "real" Ranger.

I think that was sort of the norm for a few of the vehicles in the Ford lineup during that time. I've seen similar indicators in Falcons & others.

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!
I guess that's pretty much what I was expecting.
Man, it sounds like the option sheet with these trucks was about as long as my arm, going by all the different combination possibilities there are.

no offense to any that like them, but the line style speedos were never my favorite. All the Lincoln Mk IIIs had them, and they were probably my least favorite aspect of the car. I much prefer the round style. Just my personal opinion though.
So does anyone know if there ever were any factory tachs in the 61-66? I'd really like to find one and stick it in my rig, if not I'll just go the Classic Instruments direction. Sadly that means I'd have to replace the speedo too to make it all match.
What is the knob on the right hand side of the steering wheel, on left. (if that's clear?) Closest to column.
It pulls out and clicks once. And is not marked in my truck.

I have a blank for a knob to the immediate right of my steering wheel as well. Not sure what its for. If I remember right, I have Steering Column > Blank > Choke > Heater
Yes, I know Charles did that over on FORDification. Here is a link to check out. It came out great but IIRC it was expensive also. They refaced it for 8000RPM insted of 4000RPM also. There is a link in there for the place that does the convertion, too.
