too many trucks, too many decisions.so i will take comments/ ideas from you.
1961 f250 uni choices?
the present condition is it is sitting on its original frame with the bed and roof cut off from the rest.this means it is basically a bed with a roof and no floor or cowl section(i have replacement parts?
these are the 3 choices
1.cut a foot out of a 68 4x4 frame and build with 300 6 on the 4x4.some fabrication required.
2.put on a 63 f250 frame which i have title and tag for and use 292.easiest and least work choice
3.use a 65-66 floor and cowl and put on a 66 f250 twin i-beam truck,same frame mod needed as the 4x4.
what to do with my uni

My vote would be the 4X4 uni, with maybe about 8" of lift and a set of 36.5s?

Pete, while the majority of my body parts have suffered injury at some point and cause pain on a regular basis, my brain remains intact and that possibility does not arise in any scenario.i am looking at doing something a little different, not doing something that would necessitate commitment to an institution and padded room.

I like the 4x4 unibody too, besides you need one in the snow. Mine might stay parked a little more than I want if it's as icy as it was last year here in the Rockies. I live out in the country and they don't plow too much out here!

That engine looks like Kermit the frog ran in to a smurf.
but to answer your question, go 4x4.
