What a Couple of Beauties!

Post by ripsnorter »

I think I drooled over my keyboard, monitor, and about every other thing on my desk.

Black has always been my favorite color too, and while it may be hard to keep clean, it sure does look darned impressive.

I see more of those F-1s than I do the 53-56 or 61-66s here in Tennessee. For some reason the 53-56 types of any vehicle are hard to find, even when I was a teen. And the 57-60s are even more rare. I use to see a lot of 65-66 then the next was the 63-64 models and I may have seen 2-3 of the 61-62s here, you just don't ever see them. Thats the way it was when I was a teen in the early 80s. But I know where there are more f1s today in the fields than the slicks,. But I do see more of the slicks today on the road than I did 5-10 years ago.

Those both look sweet! I don't usually see too many of those around here, but I did happen to see an orange '53 flavored one at a stoplight the other day.
My "Slickitis" affliction began here...

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

Those are both beautiful trucks, but did anyone check out the 49 F-3 on that same site.

Since my crew cab was originally either a forest service or an oil field t ruck I thought it might be cool to paint it this color. I know, I know it's not red, but just a thought. I also like the "innie" wheels without caps. Retro Work Truck.
