Some good news

Post by Johnny Canuck »

As some of you know, the wiring on my truck what with a Holley Projection Fuel injection, an E40D transmission, with aftermarket electronic controller, and the use of a '78 wiring harness is wayy more than my little pigeon brain has been able to handle.
:dontknow:
But I got some good news from Baumann today, the company that makes the electronic controller for the E40D.

They are now making a plug and play harness for my tranny.
Lordamighty, I might just get this thing on the road after all. :D
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Have to tell him the year of the tranny (think it's a '93 just need to confirm) and order it. Within a month I estimate..

Most likely a '94 or newer, the 93's are not AODE, I have 2 of them both in '93 T-Birds. And my not so stock Bird has a Carb. :D

It's an E40D, 1990 out of a E150 van. not an AOD or an AODE it would have been on the road months ago if it were AOD.

When you get that thing, put up a pic. Sounds like a good thing. I can't imagine a truck harness, Holley harness, computer harness, and a trans harness all comming together. Mind boggling!

gee if that blows you mind try calling the new designations. They are 4r70w and 4r100. The even newer version of the e4od is the 5r100.
