Ebay Scam

Post by usaltydogu »

I bid on some very nice Slicks on ebay over the past weekend. Never made the reserve or won the bid, but got lots of "second chance" emails telling me to send my info. and I could still purchase "the item" for my highest bid since the higest bidder "did not follow through with the transaction". :D

My first thought was COOL! But when I read the rest of the email they said they would "pay the shipping cost". :?: Yeah right!

I forwarded the emails on to spoof@ebay.com and they said they would follow up with the property authorities.

Beware! If it seems too good to be true....

Anyone else had any trouble with ebay bids or purchases and potential scammers?

i get scamers all the time trying to get info saying it is from ebay but it's not. the way to fined out is just go to your ebay and check to see if it was sent by them if it was it will be in your mail box and in your message box from ebay just some inside info from me to you . i dont know about all of you i would like to denut all of them

Just wanted to tell you that I bidded on a 65 F-600 Fire Truck last year and lost it but got a 2nd chance deal saying the same thing about shipping that truck to us free, Yeah Right,, when I checked into it , They wanted me to send money to England, Well after several calls & e-mails I found the persons phone number that had the truck & he told me that I was the 4th person in the last hour that has called him about this scam,, reported it to E-Bay but never heard anything anymore so be careful out there

kind of funny but when i went on e-bay every day and was bidding and selling i got those all the time.lately i have not looked on e-bay much and have got no scam e-mails.
a dull knife is too good for those folks, and not very exciting for the one who was scammed.i would rather use electricity.a friend of mine has several of the taser things which in my opinion would be a better choice, and you would get to see them jump and jerk around some..
