Blinker Question

Post by Mr. Jones »

On my 66-250 the blinker’s take a long time between blinks, and I mean they are so slow...might as well use hand signals. My question is about the underdash flasher.....1) my thought is it either works or it doesn’t...True or False. Or is there an in between? 2) Are these flashers rated as to how fast they blink,if so what should I be looking for to replace with?
Thanks
Dan

Back in the day flashers were rated for the number of bulbs ( when you added a trailer you went from a 2 to 3 ) look on end of flasher it will tell if this old.
replace with newer smart flasher.

Johnny
If restoring a ford was easy, chevy guys could do it.

I run a heavy duty flasher in my 66 to get the blinkers to blink a little faster Dan... might try that.. they aren't too expensive..
