I ended up just removing the switch, just straight hook up the wires and its good!

Finally got some time to work on the truck this week. EZ-harness for lights ect is all done, dash is re-assembled, all body mounts finished and bolted down. Have to bleed the brakes tomorrow and then it will be off jack stands for the 1st time in months!!!

If I could do it over, I would have figured out the ignition switch set up and removed all unnecessary wires before installing the harness in the truck. Also with the easy wire harness I tossed out the old fuse block that sits on top of the light switch. It took a bit to figure out lol, the fuse block actually supply's a 2nd 12v+ to the switch at the back. for the longest time I had no headlights and couldn't figure it out. After pinning out the fuse block with a multi-meter I found the extra power spot, ran a jumper wire and it works great!!

insured it Saturday, took it for a couple runs now and it seems to be running good, handles great! still have to weld up the step cut outs and wire up the wipers. I was expecting a bit more power out of it though. Definitely going with a power adder over the winter

still have to build a bumper bracket too! its a fun truck to drive, pipes are a bit noisy inside the truck. sure is nice to have 4wheel power/disk brakes & power steering lol!!

She looks good and as far as power goes when the other toys in the garage are an RX and a Supra yeah prolly gonna have to add a power adder to keep up .

Lol, Rick the RX-7 used to be pretty quick but 5th gear blew up! now its just getting a stock motor put back in and going to sell it.

Well I dont know what was wrong with the truck for the 1st few miles, but the power finally showed up! Someone told me that the 5.0's have a self learning ecu's, not sure if the 4.6 is that way too? But it definitively scoots along pretty good now, just had to get out and drive it a few days.

Love it! Interested to see what sort of power adder you'll go with. Being a Lightning guy I'm thinking of going with a positive displacement blower, but I put a Paxton Novi2000 on my 01 Bullitt that sounded SO good its tempting! But having a moderately sized turbo would really set your truck off man-and just think of the looks people would give you! On second thought, forget it-I'll go turbo, you go blower

Shouldn't be much "relearning" from the ECU that would make it faster though, if anything it SHOULD be faster/shift harder right after you hook the battery back up.

Well ended up picking up an ls motor for the f100, so will be pulling out the 4.6 and starting over! I originally planned on using the ls motor from the start but once I decided to use the CV frame the plan changed. Now looking into modifying the 4.6 and tuning, i think the ls is the better way to go. guess we'll soon find out!

Nice build man! I'd go with the LS for sure. I'm also doing a similar build. I have a 06' cvpi and 63' uni. Are you running stock coil springs? Do the front tires rub as it sits now? I'm planning on 5.3 truck motor. Possibly with a turbo. Did you end up rolling the front lips?

The cv suspension is all stock, I set the height of the truck by adjusting the body mounts. The wheels only rub on hard lock low speed turns. no problem out driving around. havent rolled the fenders or trimmed the lips. Will be doing that here for the new wheels.

Yep the LM7 truck motor is the one I picked up! unfortunately just didn't get time to work on it over the holidays. I know it will never be done in time for summer. So sold my motor, was a bit of a bummer as it was in great shape!

Have been doing some thinking on the oil system for the turbo. Decided just to set up a test stand and do some testing. Picked up a bunch of supplies and rigged it up!

So... walbro 255lph pump, toyota ae86 oil cooler, rmk800 fuel shut off valve, 100mph tape, oil jug, oil pressure gauge, window screen, fittings/hose.

The idea is to regulate the pressure with the ball valve, while cooling the oil through the cooler on the return side. The goal was 30psi with out straining the pump.






It seems to work perfect! with the oil cooler line wide open, oil pressure to the turbo is 10psi. close the valve 25% makes right around 30psi with very little load on the pump. with it right closed it makes over 80psi!! pump would not last long though.....




So now the plan is to figure out a proper oil tank and order fittings & lines :-X22

did a bit of work on it today, built exhaust outlet, and a y-pipe for exhaust inlet. hopefully this weekend the rest of the exhaust will be plumbed.

haven't updated for awhile, ran into engine management issues and put it back to stock. Just having fun cruising around in it for now. Only issue Ive had with the truck is, its a massive pain in the ass to change the rear wheels. The wheel doesn't drop out much so have to let the air out of the tire and pry bar the tire under the fender... anyways a clip from today.

haven't posted in awhile, the blazer turned out to be a complete rust bucket and is now gone to die in the back 40. The F100 has been running good all summer so far. The rear 4 link bars are pretty warn out, going to have to do something about those.. Only change to the truck is I borrowed some rims off one of my Dads parts cars. Actually look not to bad!
