Sawzalls are awesome now own to drilling out spot welds around the firewall. I plan on using the a/c and the brake booster. We shall see.

The wiring harness looks intimidating as hell but I'm up for it.

I finished drilling the firewall and removed the floor and firewall from the frame now I'm going to set the 65 in place and see where I need to start cutting.

Well I got another change of plan I have always wanted to build a bagged and bodied truck so back out comes the saws all and more cutting. I took the cab and bed off the chassis and bolted the CV floor and firewall to the factory CV body mounts.
Image
I put the cab on a body cart that I made to finish cutting the firewall out for the cv firewall

I put the cab back on and it cleared the CV pan and firewall extremely well I have to modify it of course but it's going to work out great!

Pretty much all the bed floor fad to go. I had to remove the bed wheel wells completely and I ground them back to where the two bed side panels meet.

Here she is layer out no rear springs no front struts low and wicked as hell looking I have got to cut the drive shaft tunnel to get the rear of the cab down but it only needs about 1/2 in so not to bad.

That's where she is as of now I need to get me some more cut off wheels and sawzall blades. Next I will be breaking out the square tubbing and the welders and building a new bed floor and filling gaps around the floor pan and firewall. My thoughts on bagging is to set the frame as low as it will go and then bag it. Anyway thanks for the input

Looking a lot better that my frame swap did. How much clearance is their between the frame and tires on the rear? maybe you could use a narrower rear axle? How much room are you going to have for the A/C under the dash?
Keep up the good work!!

I will have to run a 45mm-50mm offset wheel I don't think width will be an issue but the CV track width is wide. I will measure it when I get home today and post it. I kind of like the steel wheels I'm thinking about getting them powder coated an off white with a red pin stripe. I think I could run a Bullitt wheel if I roll the lips on the fender openings. As for the A/C I'm going to try and use the CV dash I have seen it done and wiring will be pretty much cut and dry I'm thinking of using the column as well.

I have 4.25" from the frame rail to the tire and 2" from the shock mount to the tire.

It's a little scary cutting into one but I believe it is going to turn out to be a nice truck thanks for the positive comments. I will post more when I'm not working my real job.

This looks so familiar hahahahahah. It was a huge amount of work but I think the product is worth it-looks like you are taking what we did and channeling everything a few more inches which will make it sit real nice
