Bed liners

Post by Dirt Devil »

Anyone know of any vendor that sells the drop in bed liners? I find them, but not for my year. Usually 1975 is early as they list - would a 75 fleetside 6 foot bed fit a 64?

Nobody that I know of has drop in liners for our trucks. Having said that, what is your objection to spray in liners. You can get a DIY kit in several different colors (including the gun) from Al's Liners for less than the price of a drop in.
Tell them the guys from Slick 60's sent you.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?

I threw a bed liner out of a mid-80's ford into a '64 long bed. As I recall it fit fine, but I'd test fit before buying.

I am not sure that a spray in liner would sufficiently cover the defects in the bed. I was just going the cheap easy route for now.

I've only measured the long beds, but a Ford is a Ford for the most part up into the 1980s. If you're doing over-the-rail it's easier, as the stake pockets don't tend to be an issue. Under the rail, the center stake pockets don't line up with the newer truck and some cutting may be needed. The wheelhouse location moved slightly on the long beds also, but doesn't seem to be a fit problem, at least with the one I wound up using.

Don't buy new; you can get them from junkyards for next to nothing and chances are they'll let you test fit first if you ask nicely. I think mine cost $30!
