Ok, I disappeared for a week or so. Sorry about that. Work and life gets in the way some times. Anyhow, thanks to everyone for the suggestions about getting us running and started. WE HAVE LIFT OFF!! So to speak. My points gap was off. I am much better at doing that now. Also we found that the distributor had been put in wrong by a previous caretaker and was moved forward a couple too many notches. Finally, we still had to rotate all our plug wires one position back to get it where we need to be. Don't know why, but don't care either. Old girl fired right up with a little massaging and sounds awesome. Especially with a very short (firewall length) exhaust for the moment. She idles well and sounds healthy. We get our brake system finished this week and our tires on it and I will see how she moves through the gears. Thanks for all the help!
