Pulled out the 3-spd tranny and getting it ready for a rebuild. Scraping, brushing and wiping all the old 40 year old Texas dirt off it...

Drove it. Had an intermittent miss on the shakedown run this weekend. Traced it down to a bad spark plug on #4. Swapped them all out with some used NGK's I got with a core 390 and its running like a top.

Pics to follow in the build thread, but I finished painting the firewall yesterday...tremclad fire red. Cheap and easy. I also got the inner fendere and rad support POR15'd in and out, and the inside of the fenders treated also. Pics to come in the build thread as I don'r have any right now.

I also got the brace I made for the brake pedal/booster, its ugly, but its ridged as hell and theres is vertually no flex in the firewall now when the pedal is pressed. Not pretty, but safe.

Off the phoenix for a week then it'll be areassembly time!

got the bed bolted back down in place after putting my wheels and 34" tires back on her... then towed her down to Rogers garage so him and Scott can get her wired up and running for me!!! yea me!! they cut the whole cab floor out and put back in a new floor in the Econo-up in just 2 days so I am betting this should be fairly quick ... :thumright:

I ran the fuel line in the frame and p-clipped it. Ran the rubber line to the line that goes up through the floor to the tank. :)

So the fuel supply is complete! I have a new sending unit, inlet hose, grommet and gas cap to complete the system.

Still will need a new fuel pump for the 351C.

Looks sweet!! What gas tank and sway bar are those?

I installed my new sub boxes today. Nothings wired up but the amps, subs and RKE box are all mounted for the drive back to SB.

Also mounted a pair of off-road lights that we pulled off of our buggy to use as backup lights. Definitely overkill so ill have to aim them down quite a bit.

gas tank is 69 mustang/ cougar tank 21 gal.

Rear sway bar is an ADDCO # 340

Front sway bar is an ADDCO #113

Lower sway bar end link mounts for front are custome curtesy of a member " FANATIC " he emaild me the pattern and I had a local shop cut em and punch the holes.

Dug my 65 F100 out from behind my mounds of parts, and misc. junk...fired him up and went for a drive around the patch. Felt great!!
Then, I fired up my 65 F250, cracked open a cold Dew and stood there listening to that old 352 purr...a good day indeed!

Well I have found a style side bed for my 63, and have decided to lower it some. I got the old flare side bed off and working on cleaning the frame, it has already been painted just cleaning off the dirt now.

installed the custom cab decal i traded for last winter on the trim piece that goes below the instrument panel.

it looks good, i think it ended up slightly lower than the original lettering but i did it with the piece on the dash, not wanting to remove all the knobs.

i would reccomend if you want to do this its going to be much easier before the trim piece is on .

sorry no camera so no pics.

Washed the truck, wired up the back-up lights and took the 63 to the local cruise night/show. Also pulled the driver side window regulator out so i can do another crank switch install and do the write-up. Should post it by the end of the weekend
