Three speed whit OD.

Does it exist? And if so, do they work good. Need better mileage. It costs around 100 USD here to fill her up. and shes empty less than a week later.

Yes, they exist, but you will have to keep several things in mind while looking. Up to 64, the input shaft was bigger than the 65 and later. There were heave and light ones. the pickup trannys had a longer input shaft than the cars because of the difference in depth of the bellhousings. The earlier ones had 6 volt controls. Non-synchro 1st gear. Not that many still around and somewhat pricey when you do find one. IIRC the light ones had R10 cast in them and the heavy ones had R11.

My preference was to go with a T5. Comes out about the same dollarwise, and you have more selection of gears for in town driving.

There was also the Orion 3sp w/OD, used untill sometime in the 80s. Had the small input shaft.

There was the SROD (car) and TOD (truck/bronco). I'm planning on installing a TOD be for to long.

Forgot to mention, you will have to burn a lot of gallons of that high priced gas to recoup the cost of changing. Just something else to take into consideration.

Maybe its no good idea.Dont realy know how much gas it saves. Think my heavy gasfoot is a bigger problem.
