so, have you guys put any miles on those seat covers yet, and are the holding up well? i would like to know so i can decide which route to go with my seat.

I can't say A LOT of miles on mine, I just drive it whenever I feel like it. It has held up perfectly. The biggest issue with any truck is UV light in the cab. Mine sits outdoors all the time.
If I had to do another one I would do it exactly the same way. Make sure you find a good upholstery guy and have him replace all the necessary foam and batting with the good stuff. And check all the springs making sure thy are not broken down. All the important foundation stuff. Its really surprising to me how comfortable this seat is in the hot summer with no aircon.

I'll say this, if you don't really care that much if it's OEM style material or not, I'd go with newer style material. It is more comfortable and a heck of alot cheaper. Plus easier by far to replace if damaged. I always wanted original material for many years, but I'm going to get a slip on cover to protect it. I ran 1985 ford truck red knitted vinyl for 20 years and it was durable and comfortable .

the seat in my truck is already been recovered and looks really good, just not period correct. i have even thought about contacting the buyer of my 67 and seeing if he would do a trade, his seat for mine. it was a nice, but not correct for 66, red seat. it would look more at home than the seat cover that i have now.

Ezer, the seat in the pic looks real good like an original cover for a 67 standard cab.Is that seat in your 66 now? Does the seat in the 66 or the 67 have full foam or thin foam. I'd try for a full foam seat if given a choice. They set a lot better.

no, that is the seat in the 67 i sold. the seat i have now has been completely rebuilt and recovered. it is very nice, but doesn't look correct for the truck.

Great looking seat! got panel in center like the old seat I ran from 1985 to 2005. Still got it lol.I keep too much sh-t

Top piece is split, but I got that covered lol. Yeah,it could be fixed up.
