Yes - Rustoleum thinned with mineral spirits and many layers with some sanding in between. The first several coats are really thin and can get messy. Definately requires patience. As Rick mentioned search -Rustoleum Car Paint Job and you'll find plenty of links.Gary Seymour wrote:You got to set me straight, here. You put on that paint with foam rollers and then sanded it smooth?
The web links indicate you can paint your car for under $100 but I am estimating my costs will probably be closer to $200 than $100. I've been a little more aggressive recently with the thickness and shorter time between coats and seeing bad cases of orange peel. So far have been working with smaller or straight parts. Hope to get started on the exterior portion of the cab over the next month and that should prove interesting. I am going to spray can the interior since most of it will be covered, etc.
In addition to the web links from yor search, check out the videos on you tube. It's helpful seeing what to do and in some cases, not to do.
