Cab and front end lift off

I was curious if you could unbolt the cab, front radiator core and everything attached to the frame, and safely lift both off the truck frame with a car lift and not be worried about anything crunching or collapsing. Kinda like lifting off a cab of a newer powerstroke

For '65/'66, I wouldn't lift the front end off with the cab.
The two meet only at the upper cab where the inner fenders bolt to the firewall, and at the bottom of the rear of the outer fenders. I see too many weak points to warp and crush.
The front end is different, of course, it all comes off as one easily enough.
I cannot speak to '61-'64, though.

John there is no real big difference however the 65/66 2wd inner fender bolt up area to the firewall is IMO somewhat stronger than the 61-64 and the 65/66 4x4 ,f350 etc as there are 3 bolts holding where the 61-64 only has a small bracket.
i still would not do it.

If the core wasn't so heavy itself I would see it being do-able but I think i'll just take it apart

Recently while adjusting various body/frame shims I unbolted the rear and front cab mount and the core support. I raised the front of the cab using a jack under the core support. There were no issues or changes in the door/fender gap. I was surprised and quickly changes my shims and lowered the cab and core support back on the frame. I think lifting the cab with core support and front fenders attached could be done safely! I wont but just the same it can be done.

maybe as I get older I will not be able to BUT right now I pull complete clips less hood off by hand especially when I am alone in a yard with no help, then the hand truck drags it back to the truck just like pulling a cab by myself here and on beds me and Kathy pull by ourselves, raise it off the frame stand it up on end and then load on the rollback nothing to it

if i have to i can still do it alone, but really prefer help or tools these days. the towtruck with the swing booms really made it easy.

In answer to the original question, yes, you can, especially with a two-post lift. It's pretty easy to make fixtures out of metal and/or wood to secure everything. I have fixtures made from granite counter-top carrying carts, complete with eight inch casters, which work quite nicely. Cross supports are chained to either seat or seat belt holes and secured to lift arms, with the front end assembly secured at core support and front set of seat holes. Works great for changing to later rolling chassis!
