Steve over at Industrial Chassis makes the kit . There are several members here who have done the kit and are quite happy . Really its mostly a question of how much money you want to spend . The crownvic crossmember will be cheaper than the Dakota setup but there are alot of guys that like the dakota kit due to the fact it is narrower than the crownvic one .

Love mine. No problems with install just make sure to get the v8 dak springs.
I don't know if the new kit offers a 5x5.5 pattern but i used 90 dodge truck brakes
to get the 5x5.5 on all four corners.

I also did used it on my 64. No problems at all the new cross that is sold now is easier to install than mine (not that mine was that hard). :) going with the 5x5.5 will be my next thing once it is time to redo my front brakes. That might be a while.

I did mine on a 63. No problems, BUT you do have to cut out half you VIN on the frame. So make sure that you check and make sure you have the second VIN stamped under the cab on the passenger side. In KS that is the one they use. They don't care about the door "warranty" tag.
