When Columbus came to America, there were no taxes, no debts, and no pollution. The women did all the work, while the men hunted and fished all day. Ever since then, a bunch of idiotic do-gooders have been trying to "improve" the place.
Re: VIN #
Far from an expert...but
Color C = White
Body E81 = well, and 81B would have been a custom cab...dont see any indications there WAS a E81
Trans G25 = looks like a cruis-o-matic 3 spd with 4:56 rear

Going by the run numbers by my two late build 65s I suspect yours was built about December 65. Some one here found an earthlink link for my 65s. I can post it from my phone but can sujest Yahoo or Google to search.

Re: VIN #
Sounds about right. It is a custom cab, and I didn't have my glasses on, so it could have been a 81B.
One more question: how can you tell if a truck is a camper special?
Many thanks!

Re: VIN #
E81 indicates a Styleside with red vinyl. Camper Specials will have a heavier suspension package, but i don't know any other "telltales". I've always thought the front of bed mounted tie-downs indicated a Camper Special, but that's by no means definitive, as they were available as an option (maybe dealer-installed) without the CS package.
