Color - C
Body - E81
Trans - G-25

Far from an expert...but

Color C = White
Body E81 = well, and 81B would have been a custom cab...dont see any indications there WAS a E81
Trans G25 = looks like a cruis-o-matic 3 spd with 4:56 rear

Going by the run numbers by my two late build 65s I suspect yours was built about December 65. Some one here found an earthlink link for my 65s. I can post it from my phone but can sujest Yahoo or Google to search.

Sounds about right. It is a custom cab, and I didn't have my glasses on, so it could have been a 81B.
One more question: how can you tell if a truck is a camper special?

E81 indicates a Styleside with red vinyl. Camper Specials will have a heavier suspension package, but i don't know any other "telltales". I've always thought the front of bed mounted tie-downs indicated a Camper Special, but that's by no means definitive, as they were available as an option (maybe dealer-installed) without the CS package.
