ABS Headliner Found?

Post by banjopicker66 »

Has anyone tried this company, Stockinteriors.com for their ABS headliner?
How about for their carpet?
Headliner link:

I just got off the phone with them, asking if it comes in 1,3 or 4 pieces, and the sales rep didn't know (as expected).
However.....
I am supposed to e-mail pictures to their tech support, who will answer my questions, and MAY figure out the correct setup if they do not have it.

I will keep us all posted - but if anyone has dealt with them, what was your experience?

Looks like a pretty nice direction to go but they don't have the 61-64, dang it.

When you say 64, you just mean the 2 piece unit? The 4 piece 65-66 headliner will fit a 64, correct?

If I could find such a place in Savannah, GA, I would gladly make my own. Every internet search brings up companies "serving" GA.
Have any brand or company names, Lance?

I just purchased an eBay carpet kit from them for my SVO. The gentleman who called to verify details seemed quite well versed in his products. He offered to send me carpet samples to let me verify that the color and texture was acceptable to me for an OEM replacement.
Since they currently have a Thanksgiving sale (as well as much better pricing than those quoted by Roddoors), I will be calling Monday to order a headliner or two.
Since they list no BBW application, I will have to ask if they have a pattern for that application, or I will trim it myself. The other applicatrion involves a sun-roof, so I expect to have to modify it. The fact that these boards appear to be pre-covered in foam -backed material, with extra matching material available by the foot makes an exceptional bargain in my estimation.
I'll report back after talking to them.

This place would probably sell you a rolled up 4 by 8 foot sheet.

I have no idea what thickness you would need..

Check win your local area with a sign building company and ask where they get there ABS sheet. in 4 x 8. The reason I did this was to save on shipping. Only cost around 20-27 bucks a sheet and I had agood chunk left over. I traced mine all out from the old and used my fine blade band saw, then a fine sander. It might be called Sentra? or another something else by another brand.About 3/16 thick as I recall. It will still sag in the Summer heat though if you don't insulate and attach it all around properly.

If I recall right, the uni's were the only ones that had the two piece headliner. My brothers 63 wrong box had the 4 piece and my 61 had the two.

carpet wise mine fit decent in my 66. I didnt get it perfectly centered in the cab, it was sort of form fitting to the tranny humb, but with the side trim plates in its all good now. Price was good and everything went smooth. I will say I dont think ill ever put carpet in a shop truck again though. its a pain to keep clean. heres some pics of it. There in the middle of the thread I think.
