Engine casting

Post by RED »

I have a 302 out of a merc grand marquis that came with my pickup. Casting is E5AE-CA. Is this a decent block to bore and stroke? Any info would be a help. Thanks

what are your hp and rpm plans for the motor and what size of stroker? Why not start with a 351 windsor, it would make for a way better choice.
why put off till tommorow what you can put off alltogether

What cooter said. Stock cubes are best and cheapest! 351W is the best Ford engine commonly available, and a direct replacement for a 302.
