so we got the column built today. here are a bunch of pictures pretty much step by step how the column was put together and how we double Ded the end of the shaft and attached the double D elbow. all of the internal parts are new. some of the hardware is original but has either been cleaned, blasted, or painted. and yes... the turn signal stick will be redone

thats pretty much in order from start to finish. also remeber garbz is no hand model. just like i am not a foot model. if your wondering about why we were in the litchen. well it was 108* in the shade today. so we made garbzs kithen our base camp.

here is the correct bellhousing and shield for the 3 speed od tranny. i had them chemicaly dipped and then i painted them in black semi gloss engine paint.

so we started to pull the tranny apart today. its the first time that i have tore down a 3 speed od tranny. we have some minor issues with one gear and a couple wear spots. nothing we cant handle

finally got the back ordered heim joint w/ bolt from speedway motors.
it will go onto the other end of pedal linkage.

so i got thses shock mounts from garbz. steve at IC fame gave them to garbz for the project. there patterened after the f1 shock mounts that all the hot rodders (myself included) use to mount there headlights on there rides. they have IC craftmanship written all over them. nice heavy material and great welds. they might look pretty cool on the slick.

Fender Work

Didnt take any pics of the doors intil after they were blocked. But I had to shave mirrors, trim holes, Custom cab holes, and peep mirror holes.

and now all in their final coat of primer.

dropped the cab off to the media blaster today. this is the second time its been there. this time its just getting some touch up in some spots and where the bbw was grafted in. ill proubly have it back at the beginning of the week. then ill take her over to scotts and well start the body work. actually scott will start. i just stand there, ask alot of questions and bring beer over

Wow. I can not believe the work you guys have put into this truck. It has to turn out to be one of the nicest around. I'm really enjoying the thread.
