Another Uni

Post by DHP NM »

Here's my 63 Uni short. My friend is doing most of the work as I'm not as experience with this stuff, but I'm learning as I go
I wanted low without bags so I got an 89 s10 and cut the front of the frame from the fire wall forward. Z notch the frame to drop the heck out of it. Now he moved to the back and started on the c notch on the frame. Still not done but getting there. We are putting a chevy 350 in it. Paint is gonna be hot rod flatz midnight blue and flaked red roof. Interior and inside engine walls are gonna be red as well.
I'm a Volkswagen guy but wanted a truck like this ever since I striped a long bed in AZ. Thanks Scott for the inspiration 8)

It's hard to tell if you did, but I would plate the frame on the inside of the frame where you connected the front clip. Oh, and be prepared to receive some flack about the use of the brand x motor lol. I kinda like the idea of using the s10 front clip, although I am curious to see how it looks with that narrow of track width up front.

thanks for the advise, I know I'm gonne get a lot of "feedback" but oh well, I'm ready for it.
on the front I'm putting spacers but I thnk it will still be too narrow but we"ll see how it looks when it's all put together.
thanks again for the advise

I think if you could be hammered in the front and turn lock to lock that would be fantastic. You should only space the wheel to just before the point of the tires hitting the fenders :)

those are racing discs, i have them on my slick now, several different styles are out there, but mine have about 200 tabs around the edge that snap onto the wheel.
